Letter from Katie Tyrie
(Posted on 15/01/19)
With Christmas but a distant memory its full steam ahead with what I think is often the most important term. A term where children are really extending their learning – developing skills and confidence and becoming independent learners always eager to explore and discover “what’s next!”
All families should now have finalised their application for Reception Places in their chosen school. Both exciting and as one parent said, “Just a little scary”. September will come round surprisingly quickly and I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to get into good habits now: - Attending school every day - being in good time to ensure a smooth and happy start – making sure your child has what’s needed - a warm labelled coat - sensible shoes. All are little things but they really do help your child to be ready to learn.
We look forward to a busy term ahead. Don’t forget school photographer on Thursday 24th January – Smile please!! More information will follow.
As you know we had an Ofsted Inspection last week. Thank you for your support and your children’s wonderful enthusiasm! The Report and contents remain confidential but should be published in approximately 3 weeks’ time.
