St. Mary’s Community Nursery School, Chester

Welcome to the website for St. Mary’s Community Nursery School. We are usually known as St. Mary’s and we are unique in being the only Maintained Nursery School in Cheshire West and Chester; this means that we are able to be fully focused on the education and care for 3 & 4 year old children.

Our staff consists of qualified teachers and teaching assistants who are with the children throughout the day and plan, deliver and evaluate the curriculum provided for our children. We have an exciting, stimulating and well-resourced learning environment, inside and out, where children can reach their full potential and where they can feel happy, safe & confident.

We want our children to have FUN while learning and FUN being here. Having FUN is a key constituent of developing independent learning skills. We have an integrated Language Project providing support for Language and Communication skills with a trained and qualified member of staff and a Speech and Language Therapist.

We offer 15 hours per week of ‘Free Entitlement’ with the opportunity to buy top up sessions. If you would like a look around, please contact us to arrange a visit. OFSTED found that we were officially OUTSTANDING - read our latest report.
